I have been eating and living the ketogenic life since 2016. I was overweight, had a fatty liver and was pre-diabetic, all before I was 37 years old. That is when I discovered the ketogenic lifestyle. I call it a lifestyle because it changes your entire life, and because there is more to being keto than just what you eat.

At first, I was very skeptical a “new” diet, thinking it was just some new fad. The more I started learning about it, and realizing that no one was trying to sell me pre-made meals or some magic pill, I began to realize that it wasn’t being promoted for monetary gain. That really got me thinking.

So, I started doing some research into whether or not it would be healthy. After all, eating more fat can’t be good for you can it? I have been studying the ketogenic way of eating ever since, and updating my blog posts with the latest information when possible.

Many friends and coworkers have asked me how I lost 50 pounds with relatively little effort. Especially those that are trying to lose weight by working out in the gym. Some people are naturally gifted to remain trim, or with little effort at the gym. I am not one of those people. The requests for information from my friends and coworkers (and the misinformation they have been given) has lead me to write these blogs.

Make no mistake, I am not a medical professional. I am not giving medical advice. I am sharing information (to the best of my ability to do so accurately) for your use. I highly encourage you to verify the information in my blogs independently so that you know you are getting the best and most up to date information. After all, your health and the health of your family should be your first priority.
